Early Catholic Family Life
Families with Children Ages 0-5
Sundays from 9:30-11:30am
Early Catholic Family Life (ECFL) is for families with children age 0-5 and warmly welcomes new families. Its sessions facilitate parent-child interaction, parent discussion time and children’s learning time. The sessions take place on Sundays from 9:30am to 11:30am, conveniently right after 8:30am mass. Each session consists of a parent and child interaction time followed by a parent discussion time, during which the children will be led by trained leaders.
At ECFL, we believe that a child’s first and most important teachers are his or her parents. Our mission is simple—connect parents with their peers and empower them to raise their children optimally in the Faith.

Family Formation
1st-6th Grade
Sundays from 9:30-11:30am
We will have two sessions per month following the 8:30 a.m. Mass time. One of the sessions will be the third Sunday of each month (except for January and April) from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Parents will also be meeting during this time, there will be small group discussion. Following that there will be a family brunch in the gathering space. We are asking families to bring their own meal, we will provide donuts, coffee, and lemonade.
The second session will rotate throughout the month and will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Parents will meet in the Church during this time, where we will have the opportunity for Adoration and Confession.

A Family of Faith was created to help develop strong Catholic families in which children learn the joys of following Jesus Christ and the truths of our Faith through the witness of Christian life given by their parents. Although individual families can easily use A Family of Faith independent of the parish, this program was designed to be used by parishes as an alternative to faith formation classes.
Studies tell us that parental involvement in the faith-life of their child is by far the most important element in ensuring that a child develops into a practicing Christian. A Family of Faith provides both the parish catechist and the parent with an easy-to-use, turnkey solution to catechizing the whole family and helping parents lead their children to Heaven.

Children are more likely to put into practice the faith they see lived out day-to-day at home.
There is a receptivity and vulnerability to good formation which only happens in the early years of children’s development, and only in the family. A family catechesis program helps families to embrace this time and use it to form their children well.
A careful reading through the documents of the Catholic Church quickly reveals the Church's great expectations for the family. “The right and duty of parents to give education is essential ... original and primary ... and it is irreplaceable and incapable of being entirely delegated to others” [Familiaris Consortio, 36]. Christ and His Church call parents to be “the first and foremost educators of their children” [Gravissimum Educationis, 3]. Family catechesis aids families in becoming the domestic churches they are called to be. [Lumen Gentium]

Students preparing for these Sacraments will still meet twice a month, but in addition will have two retreats. One in the winter, which is when they will make their First Reconciliation. There will also be an additional retreat in the spring to prepare them for First Holy Communion. Both retreats will be on a Saturday morning, dates will be announced before the Fall start date.
Confirmation Program
7-8th Grade
Sundays from 9:30-11:30am
When a Catholic receives the Sacrament of Confirmation, we are completing the Christian Initiation begun at Baptism, receiving the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgment, Courage, Knowledge, Piety, and the Fear of the Lord. In receiving these Gifts, we are called to use them for the greater glory of God. Confirmation preparation at Transfiguration Catholic Church helps our youth to understand how to live out the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives.
Confirmation preparation at Transfiguration is a two-year program beginning in 7th grade and concluding with the sacrament of Confirmation during the Easter season of 8th grade.

League of Elijah
The League of Elijah is designed for the men of Transfiguration by the men of Transfiguration to assist them in being the men God has called them to be. They are regular men who know they are weak alone and need other men to run this race to Heaven with them.
