Transfiguration Catholic Church

  • “GriefShare” is Transfiguration’s grief support group and is open to anyone grieving the loss of someone close to them. The group meets weekly and is built around a series of 13 group sessions. The sessions include a video and discussion and each member is given a workbook for personal study and reflection at home. The group is for parishioners and non-parishioners, and is led by parishioners who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer comfort and encouragement in a difficult time. More information about the program at GriefShare.org.

For more information or to join the GriefShare group, please contact: Nancy Montbriand at 651-442-4453.

  • Over the centuries, shawls have come to symbolize shelter, peace, and spiritual comfort. The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Transfiguration has members who lovingly donate their time and talent to crochet or knit shawls for those in need of God’s blessing and grace. Each stitch is a prayer for the recipient and God’s love is present as the shawls are given to people going through a change in their life, pain, a medical challenge, or anyone in need of God’s comfort and healing. Shawls are available to anyone at any time.

The group meets every other Saturday of the month following the 8:00am mass. in the Harvester Room. To be involved in the Prayer Shawl Ministry or to request a shawl, please contact the Parish Office at 651-738-2646.

  • Mentor Couples are married couples at Transfiguration who guide (mentor) engaged couples who are preparing to be married in the Catholic Church. We use a relationship-assessment program called "Prepare." The Mentor Couple meets with the Engaged Couple two or three times before their Wedding, and once afterwards. If you have been married for more than five years and would like to become a Mentor Couple, please call Pat & Cheryl Connolly at 651-702-1228.

  • Pro-Life Transfiguration is an umbrella group intended to affirm, encourage, and support the whole gamut of pro-life activities by parishioners and friends of Transfiguration. By your Baptism and Confirmation you have been commissioned to do pro-life work for Jesus and his Church – you do not need anyone’s permission! That said, you will almost certainly benefit from affirmation, cooperation, encouragement, and support from like-minded Catholic Christians. Please contact the church office at 651-738-2646.

  • Food Shelf

Transfiguration supports those in need by collecting food and delivering it to the North St. Paul Food Shelf. You may drop off non-perishable food items in the Gathering Space, along the south wall by the Storage Room. If you are able to use your vehicle to deliver food to the Food Shelf, please contact the Parish Office at 651-738-2646.

    Giving Tree

The Giving Tree is an opportunity for our parish to reach out to those less fortunate in the Christmas Season. We collect gifts for various social service organizations as well as for individuals in our parish and surrounding communities. Parishioners donate gifts, food and cash, enabling us to provide gifts and food for more than 700 children and adults. Volunteers are always needed, and planning starts each October. Please contact the Parish Office at 651-738-2646 if you are interested in helping.
